Living Room

Here is a living room with shades of sky blue which is such a relaxing and calming color. I kept the main pieces of furniture- sofa and chairs- a neutral color because those pieces can be a big investment and are usually kept for several years. But below, these three main pieces of furniture are actually from Ikea! Best of all, these pieces add up to about $1,200.00 which isn't too shabby. 

I love color and when I see new colors, patterns or fabrics that I love, I start to get the bug to change things out.  Well, because the main pieces are a neutral color, simply changing out the throw pillows and art work instead of re-doing the entire room is cost efficient. 

 And the rug?  Leopard is a neutral! :)  At least it is in my book.  This particular one has shades of brown and beige so it really will work with just about anything. 

Lastly, do not forget the accessories!  Just as jewelry puts the finishing touch on a great outfit, the accessories are the final touch to a fabulous room.  Gold accessories are all the rage right now in the interior design world so I added a few accent pieces.
